Would you like to experience mountain hiking close to the city and at the same time get a panoramic view of Tromsø? Then a trip up to the mountain Fløya is perfect. This is an urban gem with beautiful mountain scenery and views to spectacular mountains. We are picked up by bus and drive to Fjellheisen and take the cable car up to Mt Fløyen, 400 meters above sea level. From here you have a fantastic panoramic view of the city. We walk to the top of Fløya which is about 650 meters above sea level and get a fantastic view of Trømsø and Kvaløya. The trip is about 2 km. We take a coffee break on the way back to Fjellheisen. Suitable footwear: light hiking boots, wind- and rainproof clothes. Depending on the weather. Distance 4 km. Walking time: about 2 hrs.
