The top of mountain Veten in Bodø is known as "Keiservarden" (Emperor top). The mountain is 366 meters above sea level and is a popular hiking destination. Here we get a great view of the city and if the weather is good we can see all the way to the Lofoten wall. We go by bus to the parking lot where the tour starts. We start the hike in open forest terrain. When we cross the tree line, the landscape opens up. We get a great view at the top and take a break before going back down. Hiking boots and wind- and rainproof clothing is essentials for this hike. We recommend bringing a snack. Waterblottle is provided from the ship. Total hike: 6-7 km. Hiking time: 3,5 hrs.
